Moss Place Celebrates 10th Anniversary on August 12
Moss Place II, Inc. will celebrate its 10th
anniversary with a ribbon cutting on August 12 at 1 p.m.
and an open house from noon to 2 p.m. on August 14.
The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, which honored
Moss Place with a Small Business Award in 2003, will
coordinate the ribbon cutting.
The Moss Place restaurant and catering business is
located at the corner of Shallowford Road and Tunnel
Blvd.
The business encompasses 7,750 square feet of commercial
space, with recently added off-street paved parking.
Moss Place has invested over $500,000 in business
equipment and facility renovations during the past 10
years. The operation has undergone three expansions and
employed 28 people over the course of its decade in
business.
“We serve up some of the best food in Chattanooga,” says
owner Darnell Moss. “The catering and restaurant
offer barbecue, downhome cooking and gourmet dishes.”
Since it opened, the business has grown to servicing
over 30 weekly catering events, both large and small.
The Moss Place restaurant is also a popular eatery for
sit-down dining or quick-service take-out.
Moss is involved in community service, providing food
donations to local agencies, ranging from churches to
schools to fundraising events. Moss has over 30
years of experience in culinary training, restaurant
management, catering and employee management.
