Conversant Group Open House August 25 Conversant Group, LLC
will hold an open house on August 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Conversant Group is located at 535 Chestnut Street, Suite 260. The Chattanooga Area
Chamber of Commerce will coordinate a ribbon cutting for the event at
noon. Conversant Group
provides IT solutions focused on storage, security, messaging and
virtualization for small to medium businesses. Open house guests will
have the opportunity to “test drive” a Compellent Storage Area network
and win a Nintendo Wii. Big River Grille will
cater the event, providing appetizers and hors d’oeuvres. Validated
parking will be available in the IBM garage next to the YMCA. Conversant Group owner
is John Anthony Smith, who is experienced in technology implementation
and consulting in both the industrial and service sectors.
Conversant’s major markets include healthcare, construction, legal,
insurance and manufacturing. “We provide customized

Ribbon Cutting for Corptek
on August 19
A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new membership of Corptek I.T.
Solutions in the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will take place at
3 p.m. on August 19. The company has been operating at 4009 Keith Street
NW, Suite 100 in Cleveland, TN since 2007.
Corptek offers on-site PC and laptop repair, network installation, home
theater installation, data recovery and website design.
Corptek is owned by Jeremy Jarvis, who holds a B.S. degree in education
and industrial engineering and an A.S. degree in electronics. He holds
certification with IBM, Dell, HP,
CompTIA A+, Net+, Cisco, and Microsoft MCSE and MCP.
Jarvis taught computer electronics at the high school level prior to
establishing Corptek in Alabama in 2000. He has managed server and
network installation projects for major corporations in Alabama, Georgia
and Tennessee.
Co-owner and vice president of operations is Jarvis’s wife, Maria, a
1991 graduate of Branell Institute. She has over 10 years
experience in sales and over 6 years experience as an administrative
assistant and customer relations specialist for a major telecom company.
Corptek operates 24/7 for their Service Agreement Members. Office

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for The Car Barn Set for
August 24
A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of The Car Barn- A
Unique Chattanooga Venue will take place at 11:30 a.m. on August 24. The
event hall is owned by local entrepreneur and caterer Tara Plumlee.
The ribbon cutting is being
arranged by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.

Business Court off of Lee Highway, The Car Barn offers a festive space
ideal for a variety of events ranging from wedding rehearsals to
business meetings.

Celebrates Opening on August 20
Comfort Foot Care will celebrate
its opening with a ribbon cutting on August 20.
The new medical office is
located at 6116 Shallowford Road, # 118. The ceremony, coordinated by
the Chattanooga Area Chamber, will begin at 3 p.m.
Dr. Mario Dickens, who owns Comfort Foot Care, received a B.S. in
zoology from Alabama A & M University. He completed four years at
the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Dickens completed a
one-year residency in Detroit and a three-year surgical residency in
Kingwood, TX.
Comfort Foot Care offers diabetic foot care, shockwave therapy for
chronic heel pain, endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures, trauma
treatment and bunions and hammertoe correction.

Aircraft Charter Service
Opening Celebration Set for August 25
HessJet will make its formal debut to the public in a grand opening
celebration on August 25. The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will
assist with the ribbon cutting beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Located at the Collegedale Municipal Airport in Apison, this new
aircraft charter service offers an affordable alternative to
conventional air travel, according to Terry Hess, company president and
owner.
“HessJet boasts a higher level of proficiency in air transportation
than area airline services due to the absence of long lines, flight
connections, and overnight costs.” said Hess. “Because the flights are
scheduled privately, customers are able to fly directly to and from any
location at the time of their choosing.”
In addition to the air
charter service, HessJet provides clients with the service options of
flight training, aero tours and photography, urgent air cargo
transportation, and aircraft management and maintenance.
At cruising speeds up to
200 mph with a range of 1,000 miles, HessJet’s Cirrus SR22 aircraft
carries three passengers and one pilot. Safety features include anti-ice
protection, whole aircraft parachute stock, and in-flight satellite
